How It Works
Cell Block 80™
Can your Testosterone Booster do this?
*Increase Free Testosterone AND
*Inhibit Negative Effects of Increased T
CELL BLOCK 80™ – the ONLY Testosterone Booster with DM33 does BOTH!
Let’s start at the beginning, well close to it. For our discussion purposes we’ll start with the master hormone DHEA. DHEA can convert into different hormones, including testosterone. DHEA actually converts to Androstenedione, which then converts to T (see the anabolic pathway diagram). So to simplify, having an optimal amount of DHEA could help produce optimal amounts of T. Makes sense.
Phase 1 – Testosterone Production
When you stress the body through weight training, your body elevates levels of DHEA – the testosterone “starting material” – and Cortisol. Testosterone, in turn, has an anabolic (muscle building) effect, while cortisol has a catabolic (muscle breakdown) effect on the body.
These two hormones become imbalanced during chronic overtraining. In chronic overtraining conditions, the body will continue to make more cortisol, while reducing the production of DHEA. (More on Cortisol later).
Enter Sensoril®. Sensoril® in a double-blind, placebo controlled, Human Clinical Trial published in JANA increased DHEA by 32.2%! BAM! Now you have almost a third more Testosterone “starter material” and have jumped out to a nice lead.
No sooner do you have a T precursor boost, your body can hit the “kill switch” on your T by binding it and making it inactive. SHBG is the culprit and can neutralize your T before it reaches the muscle. No worries, Cell Block 80™ has got you covered.
Phase 2 – SHBG & Free T
Several studies have confirmed the binding affinity of 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran (DVTHF) in Stinging Nettle. Groundbreaking laboratory research reveals that that 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran has the highest binding affinity for SHBG of all lignans investigated so far. This finding suggests that Divanillyltetrahydrofuran may influence the blood level of free T, by displacing it from the SHBG binding site. We only use the more potent 12:1 extract in Cell Block 80™.
BAM! The more Free (unbound to SHBG) Testosterone, the more active T can hit the muscle.
When you have boosted levels of T and you have more Free T (FT), your body can throw up some detours. Two of the detours; Estrogen and DHT, may lead to very undesirable effects.
Phase 3 – Estrogen
High testosterone levels may result in your body converting testosterone into Estrogen (E) via an enzyme called aromatase. High E can lead to many undesirables like gynecomastia (breast growth) in men, fat gain (which in turn increases more E), water retention and prostate issues. High E levels in men can also increase SHBG, which may further inactivate Free T.
Phase 4 – Dihydrotestosterone (DHT)
The other Testosterone detour is DHT, which can be converted from T via an enzyme called 5α-reductase. Excess DHT can contribute to male pattern baldness and prostate enlargement. Because DHT has a binding affinity to the Androgen Receptor (AR), high levels can compete with T lead to receptor resistance, meaning less T binding to the AR.
I personally do not want to be a fat, bald guy with breasts who can’t pee. But also as important as making sure levels of E and DHT remain in the normal range is to your health, it is also a key piece to optimizing your T. Less conversion to DHT and E means more T.
This is where the Superstar of Cell Block 80™, our first to market “Block” buster, tackles both Estrogen and DHT in a single ingredient…
Introducing DM33™ – Prickly Pear (Opuntia ficus-indica) 9:1 Flower Extract
This single DSHEA-compliant herb in Cell Block 80™ may help:
- Block Estrogen4* and Block DHT4*
*Based on preliminary laboratory research, Opuntia flower extract (1 mg/ml concentration) inhibited over 80% of the activity of 5-alpha reductase in human prostate tissue homogenate and inhibited over 80% of aromatase activity in human placenta tissue homogenate.
BAM! BAM! Inhibiting both enzymes that convert T to E and DHT in one ingredient by HOW MUCH? This is how Cell Block 80™ got its name. That’s what I call a real “Block Buster”. DM33™ is available only in Cell Block 80™ from Clean Machine®.
But that is not the only ingredient doing double duty in Cell Block 80™. There is one more bad boy that T needs to beat to the finish line.
Phase 5 – Cortisol
Cortisol is a stress hormone secreted by the adrenal cortex that can be elevated after a strenuous workout. Elevated stress levels increase Cortisol production, which can suppress Pituitary function, which then can decrease Luteinizing Hormone, which in turn can decrease testosterone production. A vicious cycle which can be caused by the very workout intended to increase T. Keeping muscle-eating Cortisol in check may help to give you a better Testosterone:Cortisol Ratio.
Cortisol may not only indirectly suppress testosterone production, but Cortisol can:
- inhibit protein synthesis
- accelerate catabolism (protein breakdown)
- inhibit muscular growth reducing the body’s ability to use fat as energy, increasing stored fat
That’s right! After all your efforts to increase Testosterone precursor, Free T, block Estrogen and block DHT, Cortisol may indirectly suppress testosterone production. It’s a miracle Testosterone even has a chance!
That’s right after all this effort to:
Increase Testosterone precursor
Increase Free T
After all that, Cortisol may indirectly suppress testosterone production. It’s a miracle Testosterone even has a chance!
Well that is why we built a comprehensive formula designed to bodyguard T all the way through the anabolic pathway to his final victory lap at the muscle. Sensoril® was chosen because not only is it clinically proven to increase DHEA by 32.2%, but also clinically shown to reduce cortisol by 24.2%! Top that off with the Sensoril® study showing a 79.3% reduction in fatigue and you can blast through your next workout.
Addressing ALL 5 Phases of the Anabolic Pathway
Cell Block 80™may help:
1. Increase Testosterone precursor, DHEA, by as much as 32%1
2. Increase Free Testosterone3 and Bind SHBG2
3. Block Estrogen4
4. Block DHT4
5. Reduce Cortisol by as much as 24%1
1 Based on a clinical study involving 130 healthy adults (95 men) taking Sensoril® Ashwagandha (125 mg, twice daily) for 60 days.
2 Based on in vitro research in which stinging nettle root extract was found to inhibit the binding of DHT to SHBG.
3 Based on a pilot study involving 8 healthy men, taking boron (5 mg, twice daily) for one week resulted in a trend toward increased testosterone within the normal range.
4 Based on preliminary laboratory research, Opuntia flower extract (1 mg/ml concentration) inhibited over 80% of the activity of 5-alpha reductase in human prostate tissue homogenate and over 80% of aromatase activity in human placenta tissue homogenate.
